Near the end of a short stay I put the drone up over a resort: a tower glowing symmetrical against the sunset, a lagoon gone moody blue at dusk with swimmers still in the water, a bright turquoise pool cut by a waterfall, birds skimming low across the water, a couple walking a garden path below, and a groundskeeper sweeping a colourful basketball court.
Flying in and out gave its own set of frames: a jet's nose caught crisp against clean blue sky, a propeller plane lit warm at sunset, a plane silhouetted over an elevated roadway, a plane-window view over snow-capped mountains, a wingtip over layered clouds with a distant aircraft, and a colourful livery cutting through the same cloudscape. In between: the moon against a blue sky, a pastel-toned skyline layered against mountains, backlit flowers with sun flare, and a rooftop silhouette against a dramatic red-orange sky.
Down at street level Manila was different: a classic jeepney on its own, a busier scene with several jeepneys and a motorbike blurred mid-motion, and a market stall's umbrella adding colour as someone walked past.
