A day on Anglesey's Llanddwyn Island, where the walk out through the dunes opens onto a wide bay with the mountains of the Llŷn Peninsula laid out across the water. At the island's tip, the white tower of Twr Mawr lighthouse stands over the rocks with the sea breaking below, while nearby the ruins of St Dwynwen's Church frame a stone cross through a collapsed archway, a favourite spot for Welsh photographers.

Back along Llanddwyn Beach, the island's wild ponies grazed close to the shore, their manes catching the low light, while an oystercatcher worked the surf for food and a kestrel kept watch from a lichen-covered rock. A chough preened on a seaweed-draped boulder as the tide came in, silhouetted against the water.
